Peeling customers’ consumption patterns
Groupe Flo, a leader in the commercial restaurant industry in France, was using a business intelligence (BI) platform to analyze data on customers’ preferences and patterns. But the existing system was inflexible and relied on manual processes, making it impossible to process large volumes of data, such as receipts, on a daily basis.
To modernize the BI platform, the company built a new data warehouse offering more analytical opportunities, specifically the ability to recover all the receipts for the group’s French restaurants. The company deployed Talend Data Integration in order to standardize the recovery of this new data flow and to streamline the integration process by using a single tool.
Now, data from 162 restaurants is processed and transmitted daily to headquarters in just 10 minutes, where it is consolidated in a centralized database. The next morning, it can be queried, used for reporting, and analyzed and acted upon by the company’s marketing teams.
