Managing health repayments in real time

Almerys’ activity is mainly based on data flow exchanges it relies on to process third-party payments for a range of health-related customers. The company was using historical data extraction and integration tools, which were increasingly difficult to maintain, and decided it needed to modernize its integration infrastructure. It also realized it needed to develop a unified and secure platform to manage flows exchanged externally with partners and internally among different platforms of its information system.

Almerys deployed Talend Data Services/ESB to perform both batch processing (Talend Data Integration) and real-time integration (Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).

Benefits to Almerys include productivity gains, which the company attributes to shorter development times on Talend’s Java-based platform, and the close integration of operational features on the Talend platform. Talend also enables the company to more easily trace transactions to meet legal reporting requirements and supply a data warehouse with operational and IT data to use for business intelligence (BI) applications.
